Why veneers may be your option
Porcelain veneers are a great alternative for remedying dull, discoloured, misshapen, chipped or crooked teeth. Made of thin layers of porcelain or composite resin, veneers are laid over the outside of your teeth to improve upon their appearance. The veneers process is used in order to achieve the most natural outcome.
Very similar to bonding, veneers are prepared in almost the same manner, however, porcelain veneers require more attention. After a mold is created to custom-make your veneers, a temporary veneer is put in place until your new ones are ready. Be mindful of them, as they are very fragile and are only there for a brief time. Upon your next visit, your doctor will remove the temporary veneers and replace them with your new permanent ones. He will then proceed with the veneer application, using a conditioning liquid to acquire a rough surface for better adhesion. The porcelain veneers are then glued to your teeth with composite resin cement.
