If you’re healthy, have healthy gums and enough jaw bone to support an implant, then you may be a candidate for dental implants. However, if your jawbone is underdeveloped or has shrunk, a bone graft can be used to build bone. You will be notified by your dentist if this is a feasible option for you.
What are dental implants?
It’s important to address tooth pain without delay. A toothache is one of the most common dental emergencies. Waiting out a toothache may aggravate the condition.
A cracked tooth is a serious emergency. It suggests the occurrence of damage on the inside and outside of the tooth. In the event that you’re missing a piece or an entire tooth, put the tooth in water or milk, and bring it to the office with you. There’s a good chance that your tooth may be reinserted or saved. In order to preserve a broken tooth, time is of the essence – try and make it to the office within an hour.
Loose teeth or teeth out of alignment can be fixed, called the office right away to schedule an appointment. In the meantime, bite down lightly or gently push your tooth back in place with clean hands. Do not force your tooth in and do not eat anything crunchy!
